Gabrielle Zevin is an American author, screenwriter, and television producer. She was born on October 24, 1977, in New York City. Zevin attended Harvard University and received a degree in English and American Literature. After graduation, she worked in various jobs, including as a temp, a bookseller, and a screenwriter. Zevin's first novel, "Elsewhere," was published in 2005 and became a bestseller. Since then, she has written several other successful novels, including "The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry" and "Young Jane Young." Zevin's writing often explores themes of love, loss, and the power of storytelling. She has also written for television shows such as "Law & Order: SVU" and "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel." Zevin currently lives in Los Angeles, California, and continues to write and produce for both film and television.
Gabrielle Zevin's writing always surprises me. I rate a book 5 stars when it makes me go through different emotions, when it overwhelms me to the point that I feel the need to discuss it with others, or when it makes me stop and think for a bit, when it challenges me.
