Since then, she has written several more novels, including The Broken Girls and The Sun Down Motel, which have received critical acclaim and won multiple awards. St. James is known for her atmospheric and suspenseful writing style, often incorporating elements of the supernatural and ghosts into her stories. This was my first book from Simone St. James, and it won't be my last. I was so intrigued by the story of the girls in 1950 and the infamous Mary Hand. I can honestly say that I don't remember the last time a booking creeped me out this much, and I did not want to put it down. The only missing piece for me was Lady Loon.
