The Fault In Our Stars by John Green is a beautiful, heartbreaking story about two teenagers who fall in love while they are both battling cancer. They quickly fall in love, and they embark on a journey together that is both beautiful and heartbreaking.

That Night
Author: Amy Giles
Book review added by Mel on 2024-01-21
My favorite thing about this Amy Giles book is that it focuses on the aftermath of a shooting rather than the shooting itself. It doesn't dwell on the Monster or their reasons for committing such a terrible act. Instead, it delves into the lives of the survivors. It explores the struggles of those who managed to escape and the guilt they feel, as well as the pain of losing loved ones. This book is all about finding the... Read Full Review »
A List of Cages
Author: Robin Roe
Book review added by Mel on 2024-01-18
Robin Roe's writing has a certain quality that compels me to devour her books in one go. I was particularly captivated by her latest work, Darkroom Etiquette, and my excitement led me to dive into this one as well. The story revolves around two young men who were once foster brothers and are now reunited in high school. Adam, a popular senior with ADHD, is tasked with helping Julian, who is struggling to come out of hi... Read Full Review »
All the Bright Places
Author: Jennifer Niven
Book review added by Mel on 2024-01-14
It's the story of a boy and a girl who come from different worlds, but they are both struggling in their own way. So far, nothing that we haven't read before, so what makes all the bright places different? I'm not 100% sure, but I can say that I always wanted to come back to the story. Told from two different perspectives, it explains the highs and lows of mental illness and how it can affect anyone. I liked this book ... Read Full Review »

I don't know how to write this review without giving anything away, so I will keep it short. This is Owen's story told in two different timelines. Through old journal entries, we get to know Owen, his first friend and soon to be first love, Lily, and their inseparable group of friends who helped him find his own voice through the years. But today, Owen has a secret: he's been sexually assaulted by a classmate on a scho... Read Full Review »
Missing Clarissa
Author: Ripley Jones
Book review added by Mel on 2023-12-03
Not my favorite Ripley Jones book. Two teenagers decide to start a podcast for their journalism class assignment and decide to try and find out the truth about the town's most famous cold case, the disappearance of Clarissa Campbell, who vanished 20 years ago. I really wanted to like this, as it was recommended to fans of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, which I loved, but it just didn't hit the mark for me. Both main ch... Read Full Review »
I'm the Girl
Author: Courtney Summers
Book review added by Mel on 2023-12-02
This book by Courtney Summers is hard to review without giving anything away. I highly recommend going in blind. Georgia Avis is 16, and she's been dreaming of working for Aspera, a wealthy resort for VIP members, ever since Matthew Hayes, its owner, told her she was beautiful when she was 13. Her life changes the day she's hit by a car and discovers the body of Ashley James, the sheriff's 13-year-old daughter, near th... Read Full Review »
